Over the years I have realized that I like creating jewelry that is special and meaningful to my customers. Each piece I create is a memento of something special for each of my customers. As I create each piece, I feel grateful and honored to be a part of the energy the jewelry will convery for my customer. I know my customers feel slightly tickled when they look down and see something that reminds them of their loved one or special moment. This ....more then anything makes me realize why I love doing this!
Being a metal smith, there is always something new to learn, and create. Creation stimulates my spirit and mind. I am infatuated with gemstones, rocks and the earth's ability to create metals. Mother nature is the greatest creator of beauty that surrounds us.
Living here in the Pacific Northwest is one of my inspirations as the outdoors is also a great part of my life here. I am surrounded by a vast amount of natural beauty and much of my work reminds me of simple colors and the life force I see here around me. With this in mind, it is important for me to source conflict free gemstones to the best of my ability and to use 100% recycled gold, silver and other metals when I can. I also try to source packaging made from recycled materials using green methods to reconstitute and re-use. I also recycle & reuse papers, plastics, wood, glass and any other goods that are part of the process in my creation of jewelry as well as in my daily life. I also purposely do not have my jewelry boxes " permanently hot stamped" so that you will be able to re-use the box for another gift in the future someday.
I am very grateful and thankful to all of my customers, friends and family, and most especially my sweet husband, Chuck, who truly believes in me and has supported me through my endeavors and dreams to be where I am with my business. I am just sincerely grateful to do what I love and to be able to share it with you.
